Habtamu Tamene, is a Senior Director of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation for the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs in Ethiopia. With Master’s degrees in Public Health and Economics, he brings more than 18 years professional work experience in research, monitoring and evaluation of public health programs in Ethiopia. He has led various large- and medium-scale research projects, including national surveys on HIV bio-behavioral study among work site population, National Mapping and size estimation of Key population to HIV, National family planning services readiness survey in Ethiopia. His expertise spans over research, monitoring and evaluation of various programs such as HIV/AIDS, Malaria, RMNCH, Nutrition, Zoonotic diseases, and WaSH.
