Heidi Chow is a first-year Master of Science in Public Health student in the Department of Health, Behavior, and Society at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is working as a Research Assistant for the CROWN Project. She was born and raised in Hong Kong and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Loyola University Maryland.
Her research interests revolve around health communication, health education, and community-based public health. She previously worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where her work focused on translating research findings into actionable messages. Currently, Heidi engages in community-academic partnerships with local organizations in Baltimore, where she develops a community health service-learning curriculum and works directly with vulnerable youth to improve their literacy skills.
